Addressing The President of the United States in Writing

If you are writing a letter to the President of the United States, the following forms of address should be used.

Letter Greeting:

Dear Mr. President

Envelope Address:

The President – followed by the White House Address

or

The President and Mrs. Obama – followed by the White House Address
