Summer 2012 Children and Teen Dining Etiquette Class Schedule
June 11 through June 15: 1st – 5th Grades from 11:30 to 12:30
June 18 through June 23: 6th – 9th Grades from 11:30 – 12:30
Five one-hour class sessions include:
- Introductions
- Approaching the Table
- Appropriate Seating
- Reading the Place Setting
- Proper Use of the Napkin
- Proper Use of the Knife, Fork, and Spoon
- American and Continental Dining Styles
- Dessert Fork and Spoon
- Passing Foods
- Beverage Glasses
- Bread Plates
- Salt and Pepper Shakers
- Posture at the Table
- Appropriate Dinner Conversation
- Basic Telephone Skills
- Short Speaking Presentation
- Thanking the Host or Hostess
- Review and Discussion with the Parents
