Dining Etiquette – Elbows on the the Table

Contrary to what we have been told from the time we were little, elbows may be placed on the table between courses when no food is present.

When dining in American Zig Zag style, the hand not holding the utensil should rest in your lap.

When dining internationally, also referred to as Continental style, both hands remain above the table with the wrists resting on the table.
