How you present yourself in public is directly related to how you respect and feel about yourself and how you want others to respect and feel about you.
This doesn’t mean you have to be a fashion icon every time you step out of the house. Think about where you’re going and what you’ll be doing and dress appropriately. Even a simple trip to the grocery store might encounter a meeting with a customer or boss who will naturally form an opinion about you outside of the office.

Your clothing should always be pressed and clean. Shoes should not be dirty or tattered. Always practice good grooming and hygiene.
If you feel good about yourself, you will convey confidence in everything you do from the boardroom to the public park.
